About the Department
Department of physics was established in the year 2013. Physics is the foundation on which stands the elaborate structure of technology. Physics is not an isolated body of theories which merely serve vocational usefulness. What has been achieved in physics has sooner or later made tremendous impact on the technological growth of our society. To become active participants in technological revolution, one has to necessarily acquaint himself with the method of science. The main purpose of teaching physics to engineering undergraduates is to equip them with an understanding of the scientific methods, so that they can use the training beneficially in their higher pursuits.
“However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.” – Stephen Hawking
“I love physics with all my heart. It is a kind of personal love, as one has for a person to whom one is grateful for many things.” – Lise Meitner
"In physics, to be in two places at the same time would be a miracle; in politics it seems not merely normal, but natural." - Charles Edison
